The Green Bay Packers have added a new safety after signing Jonathan Owens in free agency. Owens last played for the Houston Texans last season.
With safety being a position of need coming into the offseason, the Packers have been adding some depth to bolster this position. Owens is the third safety the Packers have added after previously signing Tarvarius Moore and drafting 7th-round pick Anthony Johnson Jr.
Owens is a fifth-year player who started all 17 games last season for the Texans. He set career highs after recording 125 tackles with 84 solo as they were both good for second on the team.
