Packers add five, release veteran defensive tackle Josh Boyd

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- After bringing in 27 players on a tryout basis for their rookie orientation camp last weekend, the Green Bay Packers did some roster shuffling Monday afternoon -- moves that included releasing defensive tackle Josh Boyd, who'd spent the past three seasons with the team.

In addition to signing second-round pickJason Spriggs -- leaving only first-round pick Kenny Clark and third-round pick Kyler Fackrell unsigned from their seven-player draft class -- the Packers also signed tight end Casey Pierce, defensive tackle Demetris Anderson, running back Brandon Burks, fullback Alstevis Squirewell and guard Cory Tucker.
