The Green Bay Packers no longer have a vacant spot on their practice squad. On Monday, the team announced the signing of Justin Hamilton, a rookie defensive tackle out of Louisiana-Lafayette.
The 6-foot-2, 315 pound Hamilton fills the void left by Bruce Gaston, who signed with the Chicago Bears a little over a week ago following season-ending injury to Ego Ferguson. Hamilton, a college teammate of fellow Green Bay practice squad member Christian Ringo, was a three-year starter during one of the most successful runs in Louisiana-Lafayette program history.
