In the aftermath of Sunday's surprising loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the Green Bay Packers have made a roster move to improve the back end of the roster. On Monday, the team announced it has activated fullback Joe Kerridge from the practice squad, releasing safety Jermaine Whitehead to open up a spot on the 53.
Kerridge, an undrafted rookie out of Michigan, joined the Packers last month as a member of the practice squad. He provides a skillset not totally dissimilar to that of starting fullback Aaron Ripkowski and could see time on offense and special teams as a result.
