The second week of preseason is here. The Green Bay Packers will host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lambeau Field this Thursday night. It’s another opportunity for players on the roster bubble to strengthen their case for a spot on the final 53-man roster.
Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said on Tuesday that the plan is for Aaron Rodgers to play on Thursday night. If he does, it’ll likely only be for a series or two before the backups come on.
The same won’t be the case for Pittsburgh. According to Curt Popejoy of Steelers Wire, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wide receiver Antonio Brown won’t play against the Packers on Thursday.
