Anytime a team has a draft in which 11 players are selected, it creates more competition around the roster, which usually yields stronger position groups and a higher level of play among those battling players. It also pushes some of the guys, who are towards the bottom of the totem pole at their position group, off the roster.
We have already seen one instance of this during the 2018 offseason, when the Packers drafted punter, J.K. Scott, in the fifth round. This move caused the Packers to release their 2017 Pro Bowl alternate punter Justin Vogel.
