The Green Bay Packers begin training camp in just over two weeks, which means that it is time for us at Acme Packing Company to begin revealing our prediction for how the team will set up its 53-man roster at the start of the 2024 regular season.
This year’s roster rules have one notable tweak: players no longer need to be kept on the 53 for a day after cut-downs in order to be eligible to return from injured reserve. Thus, if a player does suffer a significant injury, the team can put that player on IR on cut-down day without having to burn a 53-man spot for a day.
