A lot has been written about potential first-round targets T.J. Hockenson and Noah Fant, but another tight end for the Green Bay Packers to consider selecting in the early-rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft is Alabama’s Irv Smith Jr.
Smith finished with 710 yards and seven touchdowns last season for Alabama, and he is projected to go in the first round this year in many mock drafts.
With a need at tight end this offseason, there’s a possibility the Packers will look to strengthen the position in the first round. And with two picks on Day 1, Smith could be an option.
