When you're in long-term care in a place like the Hematology/Oncology/Transplant unit at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, the days can really blend in, becoming a series of visits from nurses, a string of more tests and a waiting game for the treatment to save lives.
That's why any time there's a visitor, it can be a breath of fresh air from the world outside.
Several Green Bay Packers made that visit Saturday morning and brightened the days of young patients and their families as one of the stops on the team's Tailgate Tour.
"It's fantastic," said Ryan Beine, a Packers fan who watches the games sometimes with his daughter Zuza, who is waiting for a bone marrow transplant.
