Oshkosh West High School girls represent Green Bay Packers at NFL FLAG Championships at Pro Football Hall of Fame

CANTON, OHIO - Nine female athletes from Oshkosh West High School were invited to compete in last month's NFL FLAG Championships Presented by Toyota at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, representing the Green Bay Packers.

A first-of-its-kind event, featuring over 280 teams and 11 divisions of girls and boys from around the globe, NFL FLAG regional winners from across the country represented all 32 NFL clubs. The Packers hosted their NFL FLAG regional, May 18, at Don Hutson Center & Ray Nitschke Field.

The nine girls on the roster were:

  • Andrea Czerwinski and Lauren Klinger (incoming sophomores)

  • Neva Schlies and Summer Zinsli (incoming juniors)

  • Joely Schelfhout and Decorah Vienola (incoming seniors)

  • Julia Lor and Paige Seckar (graduated seniors - both attending UW-Oshkosh this fall)

  • Kyana Williams (graduated senior - intends on enrolling at UW-Oshkosh in spring after a gap semester)

At the time, their lone experience playing football came from powderpuff games held during homecoming week.
