Though free agency continues in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers reached a rather undesirable milestone on Sunday. With Casey Hayward signing with the San Diego Chargers, Green Bay has now officially signed just three of their draft picks from 2011 and '12 on second contracts.
Several years out, it has become evident that the 2011 and '12 drafts were unkind to the Packers and their general manager, Ted Thompson. While not totally without redeeming qualities, those classes produced only two core players (wideout Randall Cobb and defensive lineman Mike Daniels) and a capable edge rusher (outside linebacker Nick Perry).
