GREEN BAY – Upon further review, Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said, the tape of Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos showed his team gave the proper effort.
“We just had a bunch of mental mistakes,” LaFleur said Tuesday of the 27-2 loss.
After the game, LaFleur said he wanted his players to “strain” themselves and he wasn’t sure if that happened.
The team was outplayed on both sides of the ball, but some of the lopsided nature of the game was because he held 31 players out of the game, relying solely on backups and third-stringers to face the Broncos.
