Not bowing to fear, Packers bar in Paris maintains normalcy

Like millions of people around the world, Pierre Louvrier learned about the terrorist attacks in Paris last week from texts and tweets on his cellphone.

For Louvrier, the difference was that the attacks were happening a couple miles away. He owns the W.O.S. Bar, a neighborhood pub in the Latin Quarter of Paris, just minutes from Notre Dame and the Sorbonne and not far from the Bataclan concert hall, where terrorists massacred 89 people.

"I have friends who were in the Bataclan," Louvrier said. "At least four people I know were there. Two of them were close to the door, so they exited quite quickly.
