Brian Gutekunst confirmed what most of us already knew regarding kick and punt return duties in Green Bay. The Packers GM appeared on Aaron Nagler’s podcast “Nagler’s Never Right” via CHTV’s Patreon page stating the job is “wide open.” When healthy, Packers wideout Trevor Davis has had a firm grip over of that role emerging as one of the more consistent returners in the NFL. However, when you look at Davis’ impact as a receiver and Green Bay’s specials team as a whole, it’s obvious why it could be anyone’s job. The young 26-year-old receiver still has a chance to make some noise in training camp and win the job outright but his seat is likely the hottest of any other wide receiver currently on the team.
