He was already staring in the face of adversity the second he was hired on last year as Alex Van Pelt's replacement, but Rodgers' dismal campaign and frighteningly obvious inability to sustain week-to-week success throughout the season signaled a change needed to be made -- a change that went beyond just bringing on a new head coach.
With a new head coach in Matt LaFleur, it was already virtually guaranteed Rodgers would have a new quarterbacks coach working with him. But as of Wednesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that the team won't be retaining Cignetti on LaFleur's staff, making him the seventh member of the Mike McCarthy era that won't be around in 2019.
