The buzzer-beating general manager of the Green Bay Packers strikes again, appeasing the discomfort of many.
Ted Thompson and the Packers are expected to announce the re-signing of free agent outside linebacker Nick Perry today, who was set to hit the open market without any contract talks from the team at 4 p.m. ET today.
Many sources say it's a long-term deal for Perry, who is coming off his best season since being drafted by the Packers in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
ESPN's Rob Demovsky broke the news early Thursday morning, saying that the Packers are to "roll the dice" with re-signing the team's 2016 sack-leader.
