NFL sets salary cap at $279.2M, where do Packers stand?

The National Football League and NFL Players Association agreed to set the 2025 salary cap at $279,200,000, creating an increase of almost $25 million over the 2024 season and setting another new record high.

At a set cap of $279.2 million, the Green Bay Packers are sitting at roughly $49 million in salary cap space, per Over the Cap. This ranks 13th out of 32 teams. In terms of "effective" cap space, which counts the top 51 contracts and projected rookie class, the Packers are at roughly $46 million in cap space.

The Packers are one of 16 teams -- so half the league -- with at least $40 million in cap space.
