The Packers may have interest in signing their former receiver if the Panthers release him during cut-downs.
As of yet, the Green Bay Packers don't know Randall Cobb's availability for the start of the regular season after the wideout suffered a shoulder injury during Saturday's preseason tilt with the Philadelphia Eagles. Though Cobb has two weeks to heal before Week 1, his potential absence along with that of Jordy Nelson (ACL tear) could force the team to look outside the organization for reinforcements. Should that happen, Green Bay might have an option with one of its former players: Jarrett Boykin.
