Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that there’s “palpable buzz” Oklahoma RB Joe Mixon “could linger much longer than expected” in this year’s draft.
According to Florio, “multiple league sources who have investigated the situation believe that Mixon may be waiting beyond round two or three.” Florio added that a separate source suggested Mixon “possibly won’t be drafted at all.”
The recent buzz has been that Mixon could end up coming off of the board in the early portion of round two. However, it appears as though that talk may have been a little optimistic.
