As the NFL offseason gets underway, it is clear the Green Bay Packers have a lot of work to do to establish themselves as Super Bowl contenders.
Though they made the playoffs with a solid 11-6 record in 2024, they went a combined 0-5 against the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings and proved to be no match for the eventual Super Bowl champion Eagles in the Wild Card round.
While Jordan Love's development is crucial for the Packers taking the next step, upgrading the defense will also be a top priority. Though they finished fifth in the league in points allowed, they were carved up by many of the league’s best offenses, allowing 30 points a game in the aforementioned five big-game losses.
