Upon further review, there could be even more replays during NFL games going forward.
With the NFL offseason in full swing, now is the time to start making changes to the rulebook. While teams like the Green Bay Packers are aiming to ban the Philadelphia Eagles' famous "Tush Push" play, the competition committee is looking to help make sure the calls are correct on the field.
The committee released a proposal on Wednesday that would expand the league's replay assist to correct errors that have "clear and obvious" video evidence.
Here's how the proposal reads in official terms:
By Competition Committee; amends Rule 15, to expand Instant Replay’s ability to advise the on-field officials on specific, objective aspects of a play and/or to address game administration issues when clear and obvious video evidence is present.
