The Green Bay Packers thought that they had some help at inside linebacker on Tuesday, but it was not meant to be. Over the weekend, the team claimed linebacker Nicholas Grigsby on waivers from the Baltimore Ravens, seemingly adding a body to a group that has been hit hard by injuries in recent weeks.
However, Grigsby’s tenure as a Packer lasted a matter of days. ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reports that Grigsby has failed his physical exam, and the Packers have sent him back to waivers. This has happened to the Packers several times in 2019, but it has not deterred general manager Brian Gutekunst from continuing to scour the waiver wire for players who may be able to help his team.
