Nate Palmer was Just as Befuddled as We Were

Something like, “what the f*#k?”

Palmer was released by the Packers on Friday. That certainly came as a surprise to Palmer, who started 10 games for the team in 2015. Although his performance wasn’t up to snuff, the circumstances surrounding his release certainly are curious.

For one, the Packers have very little depth at inside linebacker. In fact, that group now consists of only Jake Ryan, Sam Barrington, Joe Thomas and Carl Bradford. Barrington is coming off a season-ending injury, Thomas is too small to be an every-down player and Bradford has never shown enough to even get a sniff of playing time.
