Green Bay — Now that Green Bay Packers linebacker Sam Barrington's season is over due to a serious foot injury, his understudy is going to have to take the stage.
Nate Palmer, who came to the Packers as an outside linebacker but over the past two years worked his way up the ranks playing inside, is in line to start in place of Barrington against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
Palmer was the first player off the bench when Barrington went out in the first half of the Packers' 31-23 victory over the Chicago Bears and finished tied with cornerback Sam Shieldsfor the team lead in tackles with seven.
