MVP watch: Ranking Aaron Rodgers' 13 seasons as Packers' starting QB

Was 2020 Aaron Rodgers' best season? It likely was good enough to earn his third Most Valuable Player award (we'll find out Saturday) as he led the Packers to the NFC championship game at age 37. From a narrative standpoint, it doesn't get much better than that.

From a statistical standpoint, perhaps the best metric to evaluate Rodgers' numerous spectacular seasons is adjusted net yards per pass attempt (ANY/A), which incorporates passing yardage, sacks, touchdowns and interceptions (though it doesn't gauge quality of receivers or offensive line, or things like the weather). This number isn't a straightforward representation of how many yards the Packers gained per pass play, but it's a formula that comes close to more completely evaluating how successful the Packers were when Rodgers dropped back to pass.
