An MRI done Monday on Jordan Love’s new injury revealed a minor groin strain, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The Green Bay Packers quarterback is expected to get treatment and be monitored throughout this week, but a major injury has now been ruled out.
Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Love is considered day to day and will still have a shot at playing Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Love suffered the injury on the first drive of the Packers’ win over the Jacksonville. He came up gimpy following an extended play in which he threw downfield while scrambling to his right.
