Mike Neal's free agency takes turn towards bizarre

Green Bay — The strange circumstances surrounding outside linebacker Mike Neal veered toward bizarre Saturday during the final three rounds of the NFL draft.

Neal, an unrestricted free agent, called into question his potential future with the Green Bay Packers late Friday night after general manager Ted Thompson drafted edge rusher Kyler Fackrell in the third round. When a Journal Sentinel reporter tweeted that the selection of Fackrell made it unlikely Neal would return, Neal responded emphatically: "You're 100% right."

Though Neal later backpedaled from his remark — he used the word "sarcasm" in subsequent tweets and alluded to playing games with the media — the Packers seem to have a different interpretation.
