Former Green Bay Packers Mike Holmgren and Sterling Sharpe are one big step closer to being inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Holmgren, the Packers coach from 1992-1998, was the single coach from among nine semifinalists recommended to hall voters. Sharpe, a receiver for the Packers from 1988 to 1994, was among three senior members chosen for a final vote.
To make the hall of fame, finalists must receive approval by 80% of the members of the full selection committee, which will meet in February during Super Bowl week.
