Green Bay — In April 2003, the Green Bay Packers signed defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila to a seven-year, $37.3 million contract that included $13 million in guaranteed money. Three years later, the Packers gave defensive end Aaron Kampman $12 million in guaranteed money on a four-year, $21 million deal.
To this day, those remain the largest contracts the Packers have ever given to a defensive lineman.
That certainly figures to change over the next several months, as emerging right defensive end Mike Daniels creeps closer and closer to free agency.
The NFL's salary cap was $75.
