One would have to characterize this year's free agency period for the Green Bay Packers as a disappointing one. They lost running back AJ Dillon to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, and they're still looking to trade cornerback Jaire Alexander, although the market for him seems lukewarm.
In the meantime, they have failed to bring in a true No. 1 wide receiver or any real help on defense for their pass-rushing attack. They did sign WR Mecole Hardman away from the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, but one cannot expect him to play anything more than a supporting role.
