-- The prognosis on linebacker Oren Burks -- so far -- is a good one.
The Green Bay Packers' No. 88 overall pick suffered a shoulder injury during pre-game warm-ups prior to Friday night's game against the Oakland Raiders, but coach Mike McCarthy offered some encouraging words during his press conference Sunday afternoon.
"It shouldn't be a long-term deal," McCarthy said, saying that the result was a lot better than the team had anticipated. There's a good possibility Burks shouldn't miss an extensive amount of playing time, which is instrumental for a rookie expected to play a significant role right out of the gate.
