Matt LaFleur talks about why he made changes on the Packers coaching staff, other takeaways

PALM BEACH, Fla. − Matt LaFleur’s offseason staff changes included at defensive line coach, where he fired Jason Rebrovich, and quarterbacks coach, where Tom Clements retired.

LaFleur fired Rebrovich after the Green Bay Packers’ underachieving pass-rush performance on the defensive line in 2024. He replaced Rebrovich with DeMarcus Covington, who was New England’s defensive coordinator last season.

“Every year, there’s tough decisions you have to make as a leader, and it’s part of the business, right?” LaFleur said of firing Rebrovich, who had been on the Packers’ defensive staff since 2022.
