Matt LaFleur says ‘sky’s the limit’ for Packers rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper

GREEN BAY – It took 17 weeks, but rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper has developed into such an important player in the Green Bay Packers defense to essentially never leave the field.

Cooper played a season-high 71 snaps (99%) Sunday, giving the Packers a lone bright spot in their 27-25 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Before Sunday, Cooper’s highest snap total this season was 70.8% at the Chicago Bears in November.

The rookie showed why he’s ascended into a vital role with the Packers defense, finishing with 10 tackles, including four for loss.
