Green Bay — The Green Bay Packers have lost a treasured member of their family.
Former public relations director Lee Remmel, who grew up in Green Bay and witnessed the rise of the historic franchise, later covered Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi squads for the Green Bay Press-Gazette and then served as one of the club's great ambassadors, died Thursday at age 90.
"The Packers lost a cherished family member today," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy. "Lee was a key member of the organization for many years and his knowledge of Packers history was unparalleled.
