NFL teams are very protective of their play calls, down to coordinators covering their mouths with laminated call sheets on Sundays in case a television camera picks them up during the action. That’s why what second-year Detroit Lions player Jahmyr Gibbs did is such a brain fart.
Gibbs posted a photo of his teammate, practice squad running back Jermar Jefferson, in front of a giant whiteboard on social media. Unfortunately for them, the whiteboard looks to have contained the Lions’ protection calls, even their code words — which can be used in hurry-up type of scenarios or for audibles at the line of scrimmage.
