re-signing defensive lineman Letroy Guion.
Guion’s deal includes a large number of bonuses and virtually no guaranteed money. The bonuses are easily attainable for Guion, so long as he can remain active, but the deal is very Packers-friendly.
In fact, the Packers could part ways with Guion at pretty much any time and suffer minimal financial consequences.
The deal included just a $500,000 signing bonus. That’s better than the $0 signing bonus Guion got when he signed a one-year deal last offseason, but is a pittance by NFL standards.
If the Packers decided to release Guion after the 2016 season, they’d only have a salary cap charge of $333,333 from that signing bonus remaining.
