The Green Bay Packers surprised a lot of people by making the playoffs this season in Jordan Love’s first year as a starter. They also featured the youngest roster in the NFL and overcame a slow start to win six of their last eight games.
Now, expectations are high for 2024. But less than one week into the offseason, the changes the Packers are making show a different attitude than the one the team had a year ago.
Last offseason was a time for retooling. Players like Mason Crosby who wanted to return, were not re-signed because the team had a large dead cap hit and didn’t figure to contend for the playoffs anyway.
