Green Bay — Eddie Lacy insists his ankle is fine.
Lacy says he could handle his typical workload. And Lacy still believes he's the same player who set Green Bay Packers records for most total touchdowns (24) and rushing yards (2,317) in his first two NFL seasons.
For whatever reason, though, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy feels differently. And week-by-week, the mystery of Lacy's playing time grows.
Lacy had just four carries for three yards Sunday in Green Bay's 27-20 win over San Diego. Prior to Sunday, the fewest carries Lacy has had when playing a full game was 10.
