Minneapolis — It wasn't just that Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby missed a game-winning field goal from 52 yards the week before. It was the way he missed it.
Hitting the ground on his approach, Crosby's right foot bounced off the turf and hit the football too high, causing the kick to come off like a whiffle ball and fall far short of even getting to the back of the end zone.
Crosby had to live with that kick all week, so when he got five opportunities to connect at TCF Stadium on Sunday afternoon, he didn't just make all five.
