Green Bay — For Khyri Thornton, this is it. He seems to grasp that reality.
The Green Bay Packers defensive lineman will be in a fight for his football life when training camp begins next month.
"It's as big as it's going to get," Thornton said. "I have to show up and do what I've got to do."
A third-round pick out of Southern Miss, the 6-foot-2½, 305-pounder was mostly overwhelmed through his first camp — undrafted teammates Mike Pennel and since-cut Luther Robinson were far more productive. Yet a late hamstring injury allowed the team to stash Thornton on injured reserve, hit reset and try it all over again this summer.
