Green Bay — Don Barclay looked like a shoo-in as the Green Bay Packers' top backup at both tackles and both guards when training camp opened a month ago.
The regression of Barclay coupled with the ascension of Josh Walker leaves Walker in position to be the first man in at four positions, if he can play as well in the last two exhibition games as he did in the first two.
"Barclay's a disaster," an NFL executive in personnel said. "You can't count on the guy. He can't handle an edge rusher.
"Seventy-nine (Walker) can be a real player.
