When the Green Bay Packers drafted Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, many thought the team would be transitioning to the post-Aaron Rodgers era sooner rather than later. Fast forward two years later–and entering Year 3–Rodgers is still the man under center for Green Bay with Love still backing him up.
That’s not really a knock on Love’s ability. He just hasn’t gotten the opportunity to showcase what he can do and develop confidence playing behind Rodgers, who put up back-to-back MVP seasons. For real, it’s hard to get any starting opportunity behind the best and most valuable player in the NFL.
