Joe Callahan decision could impact Trevor Davis, other Packers receivers

If the Green Bay Packers were worried about losing Joe Callahan to another team on waivers, then they almost certainly wouldn’t have played him for the first three-plus quarters of Thursday’s preseason finale against Kansas City.

Or perhaps they played him that long because they're going to keep the rookie quarterback on their roster no matter what.

That was one of the questions left unanswered when the preseason ended with a meaningless 17-7 loss to the Chiefs.

A few bottom-of-the-roster spots might have been decided in the game, but perhaps the two biggest unknowns between now and final roster cuts on Saturday involve the third-string quarterback and the total number of receivers who stick.
