The Jets continued making preparations for a critical offseason Saturday, clearing more than $13 million in cap space, money they’ll need to improve their roster during free agency, and to potentially add quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a trade.
But with the entire sports world wondering and waiting to see what Rodgers will do next, and the anxiety of Jets’ fans rising with every hour Rodgers doesn’t make his intentions known, there’s absolutely no indication when or what the 39-year-old future hall of fame will decide.
And that leaves the Jets in a painfully awkward position as they wait along with everyone else.
