Jets boot kicker after one game, sign former Packers' draft pick

The New York Jets made another change at kicker on Friday.

Set to visit the Arizona Cardinals on November 10, the Jets released kicker Riley Patterson from their 53-man roster while signing Anders Carlson to the Practice Squad. New York will presumably designate Carlson as a gameday elevation, allowing him to handle kicking duties in Week 10 while veteran Greg Zuerlein remains on Injured Reserve.

Replacing Patterson on the active roster, the Jets signed reserve defensive lineman Bruce Hector off its Practice Squad. Patterson lasted only one week in Green & White.
