Jerry Kramer recalls the Packers Sweep

In this two-part edition of Alumni Spotlight, Packers.com Senior Writer Mike Spofford sat down with former Packer guard Jerry Kramer. Kramer talks about getting drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1958, the dedication of Packers fans, kicking in NFL, and breaking down Lombardi’s sweep.

Jerry Kramer began his 11-year NFL career as the Green Bay Packers’ fourth round pick in the 1958 draft. A stalwart right guard, he played an integral part in the Packers’ famous power sweep. Known as one of the toughest offensive linemen in the league, he was a member of the NFL’s 50th anniversary team in 1969 and went on to make All-Pro five times.
