GREEN BAY, Wis. – The fascination with Jeff Janis nearly intensified once again. Quiet since his unexpected and near-heroic performance in last season’s playoff loss at Arizona, the Green Bay Packers’ third-year receiver was about to incite pandemonium again.
In that instant early in Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, those who have clamored for coach Mike McCarthy to play Janis (which has finally happened) and for quarterback Aaron Rodgers to throw him the ball more (which hasn’t happened as much) surely were ready with their I-told-you-so proclamations.
