As though any doubt remained that James Jones had played his last down for the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein reports that the team has informed the receiver's agent that it has no interest in bringing him back next season.
Jones rejoined the Packers just before the start of the 2015 season after spending the preseason with the New York Giants. Green Bay's pursuit of Jones came as the result of Jordy Nelson's season-ending ACL tear and Randall Cobb's shoulder injury. In short order, Jones established himself as the go-to receiver on offense, hauling in two touchdowns during the team's Week 1 win over the Chicago Bears.
