The Packers announced earlier this afternoon that veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander has been downgraded to Out for Monday night's contest against the New York Giants.
Alexander had practiced in a limited capacity the past two weeks but has been unable to get on the field while dealing with a shoulder injury suffered during the team's November 5th win over the Los Angeles Rams.
Expect Joe Barry's defense to continue to count on a combination of rookie Carrington Valentine and Corey Ballentine on the perimeter and Kiesean Nixon in the slot in their defensive backfield. Former first round cornerback Eric Stokes, who is coming back from a hamstring injury and still within the 21 day window to be activated off injured reserve, is listed as Questionable after practicing all week as a full participant and could still potentially be activated today or tomorrow.
