Jaguars place DE Odrick in concussion protocol

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jared Odrick has been diagnosed with a concussion after suffering what was originally listed as a jaw injury during Wednesday's practice.

The Jaguars said Odrick was immediately removed from practice after he was hit in the jaw but later underwent further evaluation and placed in the league's concussion protocol. Odrick will not practice Thursday and is in jeopardy of missing Sunday's season opener against Green Bay.

Tyson Alualu likely would start if Odrick cannot play.
